Duties and Responsibilities:

Assistant Directed the High School Marching Band, grades 7-12; responsibilities include instruction of marching techniques and musical preparation, as well as instruction of the front ensemble

Assistant Directed Beginner, Junior High, and High School Concert Ensembles

Instructed two sections of high school general music, which include units on music theory, music history, and music as it pertains to culture of the past and present

Instructed general music for grade 5, emphasizing rhythm and pitch notation in preparation for those who wish to join the band in 6th grade

Assisted students in preparation for auditions for Honor Bands, Competitions, and College Scholarships
Achievements and Successes:

Marching Band received SUPERIOR Rating at Mississippi Bandmasters' Association Regional Marching Assessment

Marching Band participated via invitation in the Mississippi Bandmasters' Association State Marching Championships

Placed SEVENTH in Class 2A with score improvement from previous year in all categories

Two senior band students received band participation scholarships to two-year colleges in the state of Mississippi
