Duties and Responsibilities:

Assistant Directed the Center Hill High School Marching Band; responsibilities include instruction of marching techniques and musical preparation

Assistant Directed Center Hill High School Concert Ensembles

Assisted in instruction of extracurricular ensembles, such as the CH Indoor Winds and CH Jazz Ensemble

Assisted in instruction of Center Hill Middle School winds and percussion, grades 6 through 8

Instructed an Introduction to Music Theory course, focusing on basic harmony, modes, formation of triads, fundamental analysis, and rudimentary part writing.

Instructed two sections of general music, which included units on music theory, music history, and music as it pertains to culture of the past and present

Assisted students in preparation for auditions for Honor Bands, Competitions, and College Scholarships
Achievements and Successes:

Marching Band received SUPERIOR Rating at Mississippi Bandmasters' Association Regional Marching Assessment

Marching Band participated via invitation in the Mississippi Bandmasters' Association State Marching Championships

Placed TWELFTH in Class 5A

Four senior band students received band participation scholarships to two-year colleges and four-year universities in the state of Mississippi

One former band student (c/o 2019) successfully completed all requirements for a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education degree at the University of Memphis in 2022
